Adani breached environmental obligations by clearing wildlife habitat on the site of its Carmichael coal project without conducting pre clearance surveys. Adani also failed to properly implement a species management plan for wildlife threatened by its activities. The Commonwealth environment department issued two infringements totalling $25,000.
