Join the Discovery Coast Environment Group, and stand against the ADANI Coal Mine.

In peaceful protest we will be sending the message from the shore of Agnes Water that we do not want our back yard jeopardised for a mine that our Great Barrier Reef cannot survive the effects of.

We respect that many townsfolk work in the mining industry, and do not want to create divide, rather show support that we want better for them as well as the rest of our community. 

Better energy choices such as investing the 1Billion dollars Malcom Turnbull and Anastacia Palaszczuk want to invest into this sinking pit, into renewable energy to create more secure and cleaner jobs.... 
We want better for our reef, that our town needs healthy for tourism... 
We want better for the farmers who live on the Galilee Basin, who raise cattle that feed our families...
We want our voices heard. 

Join us on the beach at the end of Waterfront Drive and Atlantis Boulevard at 3.30pm this Saturday, where we will be holding hands in a unbreakable chain of unity, community, and support for our reef, our jobs, our kids future. 

We ask you wear a red or black shirt for the occasion.

A free BBQ will follow as well as some cricket, to celebrate the beauty in what we call home.
