Stopping money flowing to Adani
Community pressure has stopped Adani getting a billion-dollar taxpayer-funded loan and stopped 35 of the world's biggest banks from investing in Adani's destructive coal mine.
The #StopAdani movement has organised more than 3,000 actions at local branches of the big four Australian banks, demanding Westpac, CommBank, NAB and ANZ refuse to invest in the Adani mine project.
On top of commitments from Australia's big four banks, another 35 financial institutions have ruled out investing in Adani, including four of the world’s biggest banks.
Sustained community pressure has also led to the Queensland government vetoing a public loan of $1 billion to fund the Adani project. Corporate partners Downer, AECOM and Aurizon have also walked away from the Adani mine.

We will continue to ensure no bank, institution or government funds Adani's climate-destroying mega coal mine.
