Australia is already suffering from the climate crisis. But we have a Government who has pledged to dig up the biggest new coal basin in the world, starting with the Adani mine, rather than taking urgent action to address climate change and move us beyond fossil fuels.
So, on September 20, three days before the UN Emergency Climate Summit, the #StopAdani movement is stepping up to join the Global #ClimateStrike lead by young people from the School Strike 4 Climate movement.
Across Australia we’ll take time off work and school together to show our politicians the breadth of opposition to Adani. More and more Australians are joining our movement to stop this mine and stand for climate justice. We’re not going away, we’re just getting started.
September 20 is our opportunity to organise our communities to show up in strength alongside hundreds of thousands of students, frontline communities, workers and more.
Everyone is invited, everyone is needed. Please take the day off and organise your friends, workmates and families to join you.
