Here’s the bad news. Labor have not committed to stop Adani’s dirty coal mine. They are still saying 'Labor will support the Adani coal mine if it stacks up environmentally and economically.’
Here’s the good news. Many local Labor branches and city Councillors want Labor to be climate leaders and want Labor to clearly oppose Adani’s climate-cooking coal mine.
Labor party members and branches decide the policy of the party, they decide the election candidates - together they are powerful. They are also community-based, just like #StopAdani groups.
To move Labor at a national level, we need to have a conversation at a national scale with Labor branches and city Councillors. Join the #StopAdani Webinar on Thursday April 26th from 6:30-7:30pm AEST and let’s talk about how we’re going to do it!
