You may have heard about amendments to the Native Title Act the Federal Government has been trying to ram through Federal Parliament to help Adani get its dirty mine going. The Bill has twice failed to pass the Senate because of a recognition that consultation with Traditional Owners around the country had been dismal.

The Wangan and Jagalingou (W&J) Family Council are continuing to challenge Adani's application to register their sham land use deal in court. They say Adani does not have the free, informed, and prior consent of the W&J people. Adani has bankrolled a breakaway group, and stacked a meeting with people with no connection to their Country to try get its project up.

W&J has three times rejected an agreement with Adani.
