Join us for a public rally outside Australia’s biggest mining conference.
Join us outside the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Wednesday November 1st at 1:30pm. At the same time as CEO of Adani Australia, Mr Jeyakumar Janakaraj promotes the Adani Mine, we will show that the community are against it. And we will fight it.
The mining industry wants to pretend that they can continue business as usual. We will remind them about climate change, the reef, and our duty to protect the planet and our future.
There will be over 3000 decision makers, mining leaders, investors, and commodity buyers, from over 60 countries, at the conference. They want to make deals, schmooze and networking. We want to remind them what’s at stake.
All welcome. This is a friendly, inclusive, public, creative event.
We will gather outside the Convention Centre (on the South Wharf Promenade and Spencer Street). Join us to listen to inspiring speakers, music, and have time for you to meet other people involved in the Stop Adani campaign.
What to bring - Banners, placards, - If you want to dress up or bring puppets or lights, please do
The list of companies walking away from Adani’s toxic brand and climate-wrecking mega mine keeps growing. 59 companies, including 16 major insurers, have now ruled out working with Adani.
But Lloyd’s of London is still working with Adani to help the mining giant find insurance for its disastrous project.
Let’s flood the Lloyd’s office with calls now and let them know that allowing insurers to underwrite Adani’s coal mine is a risk we cannot afford!
Adani can’t build or operate their destructive coal mine and rail line without insurance.
A staff insider from US insurance giant AIG has confirmed AIG is insuring part of Adani’s mine project. Now is the time to tell AIG to insure our future, and not to renew insurance for Adani’s destructive coal mine.
On September 20, three days before the UN Emergency Climate Summit, the #StopAdani movement is stepping up to join the Global #ClimateStrike led by young people from the School Strike 4 Climate movement.
