Snap Action: GHD don't steal QLD water
Engineering firm GHD, which is working on Adani’s mega coal mine, is sponsoring the Australasian Groundwater Conference in Brisbane. In fact, GHD is sponsoring a session on groundwater in mining, dedicated to understanding and assessing risks to groundwater from mining.
Top water scientists have already scrutinised Adani’s water-sucking plans and slammed them..
Let's gather outside the Conference, before the GHD groundwater session starts, hand out flyers and let GHD know to support farmers and QLDers NOT Adani.
At a time of record breaking drought in Queensland, GHD should not help Adani build their climate wrecking mine, which will only fuel more intense droughts and destroy Queensland’s precious water resources.
On its website GHD claims to have a “commitment to sustainable development”. Over 60 major companies have ruled out doing business with Adani. It’s time GHD did the same!
