BRISBANE SNAP ACTION! State Bank of India: No $1bn Adani loan!
News just broke that the State Bank of India (SBI) is on the verge of finalising a $1 billion public loan to Adani’s climate-wrecking Carmichael coal mine.
We need to act fast to show SBI that they are exposing themselves to global controversy by supporting the most contested fossil fuel project in the world!
Adani tried and failed to make Australian taxpayers foot the bill for their coal mine. Now they’re trying to make Indian taxpayers foot the bill for a project that no private investor will dare touch.
Public funds should be used for the public good, not to help billionaire Adani turbocharge the climate crisis that is already having devastating impacts on people in India.
Join the SNAP ACTION to tell the State Bank of India - no public money for Adani!
The action is on the north-side of inner Brisbane at 9.30-10.30am RSVP for the location details.
