The Northern Inland Council for the Environment Inc is an umbrella environmental group that consists of members who are involved in many different environmental causes like Landcare, Bird Observers, National Parks Association, Climate Action and Lock the Gate. Members are affiliated with organisations like Green Peace, WWF, Climate Council, Nature Conservation Council. The largest recent campaign was opposing the Maules Creek Mine in Leard State Forest, current campaigns include a Solar Energy farm for Manilla, and opposing CSG in the Pilliga Forest
