The Westpac Special Promotions Team* would like to invite you to a “celebration” of Westpac’s 200th birthday.

Despite promising in 2015 to help keep global warming below two degrees, Westpac has poured $13 billion into dirty coal, oil and gas projects since 2008 (and over $1.4 billion since they made their promise!). They are refusing to commit to phasing out this lending, and won’t even rule out funding the catastrophic Adani Carmichael mega-coal mine in central Qld.

So on their 200th birthday, we are going to make sure that their customers and the general public know all about this “proud” history of hypocrisy and environmental destruction.

There will be “cake”, great party games like pin the coal port on the Great Barrier Reef and plenty of ways we can show our best wishes to Westpac!
