How to contact Adani online

Adani are pushing ahead with construction of their climate-wrecking coal mine -- clearing thousands of hectares of bush home to rare and endangered wildlife. The mining giant is even continuing to fly workers in and out their coal mine during the Coronavirus pandemic -- putting their own workers and vulnerable regional and remote communities at serious risk of infection. Adani’s greed is literally putting lives at risk.

We need to tell the heads of the Adani corporation, and its business partners, that Adani is trashing its reputation and putting lives at risk by pursuing the Carmichael mine and other coal and gas projects.

2. SEND ADANI CEO GAUTAM ADANI A DIRECT MESSAGE ON INSTAGRAM

How?

  • Find Adani CEO Gautam Adani on Instagram at www.instagram.com/gautam.adani and follow him.
  • Comment on his Instagram posts and send him a direct message.
  • Share a selfie video or post about what you said to Mr Adani using the hashtags #StopAdani and #GrowthWithGoodness (This is the Adani Group’s tagline). Encourage others to do the same.

What to say

  • Tell Mr Adani why you’re worried about his coal mine. Whether it be because of climate impacts, impacts on water and the environment, violation of Aborignal land rights or because Adani’s current construction risks spreading coronavirus to vulnerable regional communities in Queensland. Be polite but assertive.
  • Encourage him to do the right thing for people in Australia and India (including his own grandkids!) by ditching this destructive climate-wrecking coal project and helping to build a brighter future for India and the world powered by clean energy.  This is also the right business decision as renewables are cheaper than coal and there’s no future in coal!
  • Tell Mr Adani the Carmichael mine is trashing the Adani brand in Australia and around the world. The majority of Australians want to stop Adani and the stop Adani movement is highly motivated to stop his coal mine and solve the climate crisis. We will not stop fighting his coal mine.

What not to say

  • Don’t attack Mr Adani or any other individual personally in any way. Adani’s coal projects must be stopped because of their disastrous impacts on climate, environment, Aboriginal land rights and people’s health and safety. We don’t need to get personal!
  • It goes without saying but never use any language that’s offensive, racist or xenophobic. The #StopAdani movement is a diverse and inclusive community comprising people of all backgrounds. We explicitly reject any language that marginalises people because of their ethnicity, faith or gender.
