Adani’s single biggest funder is BlackRock, with USD $1.2 billion invested in bonds and shares across the Adani Group.
If BlackRock, the biggest investor in the world, pulls billions from the Adani Group because of Adani’s work on the Carmichael coal mine, this could spark a mass exodus of support that CEO Gautam Adani won’t be able to ignore.
In 2020, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink used his annual letter to CEOs to herald the beginning of BlackRock’s move away from coal. In 2022, we’re going to push Larry to announce that BlackRock is finishing the job, and pulling its money out of Adani!
So, while Larry is hoping for a quiet holiday period, we’re going to keep Adani’s coal mine at the front of his mind! Can you chip in to help us maintain a campaign push over Christmas and the New Year?
Here's how your donation works
Your donation will go to Tipping Point, the organisation that supports the mighty #StopAdani movement and the national network of #StopAdani groups to flourish and win.
Your dollars will be hard at work...
- supporting local groups to coordinate impactful actions targeting BlackRock over the summer break
- launching powerful digital and in-person tactics that deliver our message to BlackRock
- producing banners, placards and flyers to get the #StopAdani message to BlackRock decision-makers
Tipping Point is a project of Friends of the Earth Australia.
