Adani fails to put in place conservation area to offset coal project’s impact on project threatened ecosystem
The Commonwealth environment department issued Adani a warning for being non compliant with its obligations to establish an offset area within the required timeframe. The offset area Adani were supposed to have secured was for the threatened Brigalow ecosystem that will be impacted by the coal mine and rail project. The breach was reported by Adani on page 14 of this compliance report.
