Join the AYCC in collaboration with Fossil Free at Monash Clayton in conversations to persuade Westpac to not fund Adani's massive Carmicheal Coal Mine development. #StopAdani

In pursuit of short term profit Westpac bank has invested billions in fossil fuels. But now the the tide is changing! Many major Australian banks no longer want to invest in carbon emitting industries. We need Westpac's CEO Brian Hartzer to rule out funding new fossil fuel reserves. Right now Westpac have not committed to tackle climate change- they may go ahead and fund Adani. Across Australia the AYCC is talking to Westpac and encouraging them to see the bigger picture. 

Monash Clayton is the largest University Campus in Australia and our voices will be heard. We can change the course of history by engaging Westpac branch staff to support ruling out this disastrous project and bank on our future instead!

At this event we will wizz through a fun training for effective conversations with bank staff and then we will visit the Monash Westpac branch!

The schedule includes:

12:50pm: Discussing strategy and layout of the branch

13:00pm: Talk to branch staff about #StopAdani and take photos!

13:45 pm: Debrief and lunch in wholefoods
