McPherson #ClimateElection Candidates' Forum

Come to the #ClimateElection Candidates Forum to hear & ask the candidates of McPherson about their commitments to urgent climate action. A big crowd will show the candidates & media that McPherson will vote for climate action!

WHEN: 6:00pm for a 6:30 start, Tuesday 16 April
WHERE: Waterside Room, Currumbin RSL

Climate change is hurting Australia. Last January was the hottest month on record. There were scorching heat waves of almost 50 degrees from Adelaide to Sydney. Flash flooding in Townsville. Unprecedented wildfires in Tasmania.

Polling shows that concern for climate change is at an all time high. That’s why the Federal election in May is shaping up to be the #ClimateElection.

We know fossil fuels are the biggest driver of climate change. Australia is ready to move beyond fossil fuels towards a renewable energy future.

The #ClimateElection Candidates Forum is our opportunity to hear from the different candidates of McPherson about how they plan to lead Australia beyond fossil fuels. It’s also our chance to show candidates that our community wants action.

Event co-hosted by ACF Community Burleigh Heads, Stop Adani Gold Coast, Australian Parents For Climate Action, Gecko Environment Council and AYCC Gold Coast.
