Paint Melbourne Ports #StopAdani

Join fellow concerned citizens on May 19th to cover the federal electorate of Melbourne Ports with Stop Adani posters.

Ports is the most marginal federal seat in the country with a Labor lead of 1.3%. Not only that, but this seat is a three-way tussle between the Greens, Labor and LNP; and the prospect of an election in August or September is very real.

The majority of Australians demand action on dangerous climate-change and oppose Adani's reef-wrecking mega coal mine, but our politicians are not listening. It is up to us to ensure we can't be ignored!

We need to raise the public profile of this movement so that by the time the next election rolls around, the old parties will be forced to commit to reviewing Adani's environmental approvals if they are to have any chance of winning.

Meet us out the front of Luna Park, and it would be helpful if some people bring access to cars as Ports is a huge electorate. There is paid parking just near the meeting spot or free parking around St Kilda Botanical Gardens.

We will provide the posters etc, just bring comfy walking shoes and some spare change to grab a beer afterwards.

See you then!
