This event is hosted by ACF Bayside and Stop Adani Wynnum Manly. Both local groups support the move away from fossil fuels and move Australia to 100% clean energy by 2030. There will be a 30 minute presentation of the Repower Plan, a couple of speakers followed by afternoon tea. Climate change is the fight of our times and building new coal mines for electricity will create emissions that will take us over the Paris Agreement. We are already seeing and feeling the impacts of climate change with back to back coral reef bleaching events on the Great Barrier Reef, heat waves and drought. With the technology to move to 100% renewable energy sooner rather than later this plan needs to be shown to our elected representatives and the community to be embraced. Join us on October 28 to connect with like-minded people hear how Australia can move to a clean energy future.
