Hey Frydo: No billion dollar handout for Adani!

5 PM Friday June 2nd – wear white and bring your voice to our Environment Minister!

Before July, the Federal government could announce a $1 billion loan of public money for Adani's mega polluting coal mine. We need to let them know that their constituents will not have a bar of it!

As Kooyong residents we have taken to the streets and our phones to voice our opposition to yet another polluter handout. Through public pressure we got Westpac to rule out financing the mine. Our outrage caused QLD Labor to deny any royalties deal had been made. And now Federal MPs have even started coming out and voicing their opposition to the mine too!

We are starting to shift the politics, but we need to keep the pressure on!

Wear white for the reef - this year we've seen our beautiful Great Barrier Reef bleach for the second year in a row. Loud and proud we will add our voices to the chorus of the #StopAdani alliance and let Josh Frydenberg and the Federal government know what his constituents want - no pubic money for Adani’s Reef wrecking project! We want a healthy reef, not more polluting coal!

The #StopAdani alliance includes local action groups like the Kooyong Climate Coalition working together in local communities around Australia to help put the pressure on our elected leaders. This action is brought to you by the Kooyong #StopAdani action group, the Kooyong Climate Coalition, ACF and Australian Youth Climate Coalition!
