Guarding the Galilee - Community film screening & info night

A 30 minute documentary film that takes us inside the fight to stop Adani coal. Indian billionaire Gautam Adani wants to build the biggest coal mine in Australia’s history. The Federal Government wants to give him $1 billion worth of public money to do it. ‘Guarding the Galilee’ explores the impacts of this project and actions we can take to stop it. Hosted by award-winning actor Michael Caton, the film features farmers, dive instructors and boat operators all concerned about the impacts that Adani’s Carmichael coal mine would have on water resources, climate and the reef.
